The children of Overton CE Primary School were visited today by a local athlete who is one of the best runners in in the world for her age.  Bewley Homes arranged for Annie Mann, from Romsey, to speak at an assembly and then put some of the children through their paces!

Annie is a 1500m athlete who won the Under-18 European Championship and came fifth in the World Tour in Boston in 2023.  

She talked to the whole school about her journey and her plans to move to America this year to further develop to hopefully compete in the Olympics.  The children asked her questions and found out she enjoyed running at primary school and her icon for inspiration is Mo Farah.

All of Overton wish her the very best of luck and hope she can visit us again with an Olympic medal!
