KS2 MFL Day: La Francophonie
On Wednesday 20th November, all KS2 pupils and staff enjoyed a range of learning activities on the theme of The French-Speaking World. I loved seeing the children (and teachers) arrive in an array of amazing Francophone Flag outfits. The morning was filled with geographical activities and quizzes - I think we all learnt something new about the French-Speaking World.
The children then went on to study some key landmarks in French-Speaking Europe and had a go at making their own models of their favourite buildings. In the afternoon, we all took a trip to French-Speaking Africa. Here we found out more about Senegal and its rich musical culture. The children particularly enjoyed our two assemblies. We learnt the chorus to ‘Magic in the Air’ by the Ivorian music group, ‘Magic System,’ and watched the teachers battle it out with their ‘Year Group Teacher Quiz.’ Congratulations to the winning Year 6 teachers!
Merci,
